This seminar will focus on how to motivate young teenagers to study English out of class. It will offer practical ideas for home study tasks different from the usual homework that many students may find boring and demotivating, and will include a range of activities and multimedia that create interest, variety and reflect the needs of a wide spectrum of study styles and multiple intelligences.

Mgr. Daniela Clarke má 12 let praxe ve Velké Británii v oboru výuky angličtiny jako cizího jazyka a v oboru vzdělávání učitelů AJ. Posledních 10 let působila na International School of English při Hastings College ve funkci Lecturer in English as a Foreign Language. Kromě výuky EFL prováděla také teacher-training, jednak jako školitel pro další vzdělávání učitelů Hastings College, jednak jako trainer učitelů na kursech TEFL vedoucích k zkouškám Trinity College. Je držitelkou akreditace MŠMT k provádění vzdělávacích programů v rámci DVPP.

MORE! Writing

We want our students to write in English, but there needs to be motivation in order for them to write well. Why not help your learners publish their stories and articles in small books? This workshop will use activities from the "More!" series to demonstrate how to bind learners' writing into books that can be easily assembled during one class session. Self-publishing is a fun and satisfactory activity that lets students take pride in their writing achievements.
